COVID-19 Policy and Plan for Aurora Organic Spray Tans

Aurora Organic Spray Tans is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all our employees and clients.  To ensure we have as safe and healthy workplace, we have developed the following COVID-19 Preparedness Plan in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Managers and employees are all responsible for implementing this plan. Our goal is to mitigate the potential for transmission of COVID-19 in our workplaces and communities, and that requires full cooperation among our employees and clients.  Only through this cooperative effort can we establish and maintain the safety and health of our employees and workplaces.

• Screening and policies for employees exhibiting signs and symptoms of COVID-19 Workers have been informed of and encouraged to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19.

• Handwashing Basic infection prevention measures are being implemented at our workplaces at all times. Workers are instructed to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water frequently throughout the day, but especially at the beginning and end of their shift, prior to any mealtimes and after using the toilet.

• All customers and visitors to Aurora will be screened with questions regarding recent COVID-19 symptoms, customers are required to wash or sanitize their hands prior to or immediately upon entering the facility. Hand-sanitizer (that use sanitizers of greater than 60% alcohol) are at entrances and in rooms so they can be used for hand hygiene in place of soap and water, as long as hands are not visibly soiled.

• Social distancing Social distancing of six feet will be implemented and maintained between employees, customers and visitors in Aurora.  While spray tanning and teeth whitening, employees are required to wear a mask and gloves.  While you are not required to wear a mask in Aurora, if you are waiting for your appt, we require you implement 6 feet of social distancing.  Please avoid bring guests or children at this time.  We are not booking spray tan parties until further notice.  We encourage you to bring your own mask.

• Appointments are now being booked every 30 minutes to allow time for cleaning and sanitizing in between every client. We are going cashless and will only be accepting credit cards.

• Cleaning, disinfection, ventilation and regular housekeeping practices are being implemented, frequent cleaning and disinfecting will be conducted in high-touch areas, such as phones, keyboards, touch screens, controls, door handles, stairway rail, credit card readers, lockers, spray tan guns, teeth whitening chair, teeth whitening glasses, red light therapy machine.

• We will not be accepting any returns on retail products sold at this time.

• Customers and visitors will also be advised not to enter Aurora if they are experiencing symptoms or have contracted COVID-19.  This COVID-19 Preparedness Plan has been certified by Aurora management and was posted throughout the workplace.  It will be updated as necessary.

AURORA Pre-Tan Instructions:

 

1. Exfoliate the same day of your spray tan, for best results use Pecan Shell Exfoliant or a Lemon/Sugar Scrub (no oils in scrubs) with an exfoliator glove such as TanGo

2. Shave the night before or 12 hours prior, waxing should be done 24 hours prior

3. Do not apply any lotions, perfumes, oils or deodorant (you can bring your own deoderant)

4. Do not wear any make-up to appointment

5. Remove all jewelry prior to spray tan

6. Tan to your comfort level: we provide disposable thongs, bras and underwear for men or you can bring a bathing suit or tan nude

7. Please wear loose fitting, dark clothing, preferred long dress or pants, flip flops, and plan on wearing a loose fitting bra or bralette

8. Please be prepared to not sweat, go to the gym, get a pedicure, shower or get wet for 10-12 hours, faster processing times are available (bring an umbrella when raining)

9. Best results are seen when you moisturize your skin twice daily for 1 week prior to your spray tan

 

AURORA Post-Care Instructions:

 

1. Your Spray Tan will last about a week

2. Shower with only water for the first shower after a spray tan with the Acceleration tan

3. Moisturize twice daily after a spray tan, for best results use a Gradual Tan Extender (available at Aurora)

4. Wait appropriate time before showering or working out

5. Recommended to not use a pouf or exfoliate in the shower after spray tan, use a mild soap containing no alcohol or parabens, avoid dove soap and and pat skin when drying

6. Avoid long, hot baths

7. Plan to wear long sleeve top and pants to bed to accomplish the optimal development if tanning overnight

8. Swimming is allowed, however the tan could fade faster from the chlorine

9. Extend the tan 2-3 days and fade evenly with using DHA-infused body wash Shower Glow or a Sulfate-free Goat Milk Soap such as Glo Soap Bar
